The Gratitude List
“Trade your expectations for appreciation and your whole world changes in an instant!” Tony Robbins

“We tend to forget that happiness doesn’t come as a result of getting something we don’t have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.” Frederick Koenig
Keeping a Gratitude List provides us with a reminder of everyday things we may take for granted. It helps us to notice, remember, and savor the good things in life.
This is a growing gratitude list to inspire and to reflect upon …
1 – Health
“Health is like money, we never have a true idea of it’s value until we lose it.” Josh Billings
We go about our everyday lives pretty much taking our health for granted yet if we speak with someone who is sick or fall sick ourselves we realize the truth in the saying ‘your health is your true wealth.’ Be grateful for your good health and take care of yourself. You’re worth it.
2 – Parents
Our parents gave us the most priceless gift we will ever receive. They gave us the opportunity to experience this precious life. Without them, there would not be an us.
3 – Friends and Family
Our family and friends are our closest kin and companions in life. Our relationship with them may not always be smooth sailing and at times may require understanding and forgiveness but strong relationships are essential to our overall wellbeing. When all is said and don, life is about experiences and people and not just things.
4 – Eyesight
“I opened two gifts this morning; they were my eyes.” Unknown
Our eyes let us see the colors of life, the look of love and the beauty that surrounds us. They help us read, learn, play and convey a thousand words. Because of what we have seen with our eyes we can lock in and treasure special memories for a lifetime.
